First quarter

I personally love beginnings. First day of school, first day of the holiday season, and the first sip of an iced cold coke! Pastor Oz and I have great anticipation for this year. We have chosen to begin our year by attending a conference in Toronto celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Toronto Outpouring. We have an excitement within us and have been preparing our hearts to receive revelation and impartation for us and for The River.

There is something very biblical about expectation and preparation. Ephesians 3:20-21 says, “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Knowing that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think is mind blowing. Do we really believe He is able? Do we believe He will do this for us?

This is our expectation and in preparing our hearts to receive it we are choosing to seek His face, investing into our relationship with Him so that we can believe that He is willing and able to show us his exceeding abundance. One way we are preparing our hearts is through worship. Pastor Oz and I turn off every other device and just get on our knees and worship the Lord. We invite Him into our lives and into our circumstances and we are choosing to learn how to minister to Him. This simple act has changed our perspective. He becomes Big and our troubles become small.

We also have chosen to participate in the chronological reading through the bible. Knowing His word reveals who He is to us. This choice is not one out of works or obligation, we are choosing to read the bible with the intent of knowing God more and as we do, we see who He is throughout His word.

We are also choosing to chase the Lord and what He is doing around the world Today! We are listening to more sermons for FREE on Youtube where we can hear men and women of God who we respect and who are bringing a word from the Lord in this season.

This is the first quarter of the year and we are in preparation and expectation mode. We are preparing our hearts to receive more and we are expecting His abundance to be revealed.
