Hope & a Future

During one of our worship services last year the Lord gave us a word…

”Remember the summer of 17.”  There was a shift in our services. We moved to a new place in Him. Pastor Oz and I have had one goal since The River began in 1991, for people to encounter God. Both of us have been fully persuaded that the Lord is real; we are not trying to convince you of His reality, but what we doing is inviting the Lord into everything we do so that you experience God personally.  In Ephesians 4 Paul writes that the purpose of the fivefold ministry, Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers are to equip the saints for the work of the ministry. This is our mandate.  As we come together on Sunday mornings our one desire is that you leave having encountered the reality of God, you experienced His presence during praise and worship, through a revelation during the sermon and also through connection with the people around you. Each piece of the service is intentional; we begin by entering His presence through praise and worship. He will inhabit, build a tent around our praises. As we worship together, as one voice, he lives among us and we remember once again how very much He loves us and how all things are possible in Him. Through the preaching and teaching of the bible we learn who God is and who we are in Him. This identity solidifies our trust in God.

Through our connection with the people around us we are encouraged and give encouragement remembering that we have help and support and a family to share our lives.

This summer we are running after MORE. We desire all that the Lord has for us to be and to do as a body. What is our assignment? How can each piece fit together and change our community. As we grow in our ministry, as we become equipped, we are seeking the Lord for MORE…More direction, More impact, More change. Please join us as we pray!
